HC is a design and manufacturing business that specialises in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Over the course of its 50-year existence, HC has grown to become the largest OEM of finned tube heat exchangers, refrigeration system and HVAC equipment in Southern Africa. This success is due in large part to the expertise and depth of our team, as well as the investment into innovation through our R&D team. Our history
Heating Centre was established in 1973 and later traded under the German-based Güntner SA banner from 1995 until their withdrawal from South Africa in 2001, after which HC was established on the solid foundation left by Güntner SA.
Our ancillary companies were born from these formidable building blocks, giving rise to the HC Group. Through our contracting partners, HC Group provides engineering solutions in design, manufacturing, installation, and after-sales service for the production of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. Our global headquarters are housed in a 21 700m² facility in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Ownership to HC is the obligation to the industries we represent to design, develop, and produce the best equipment solution for our customers, which is why Research and Development is an integral part of our business.
We not only create new products on-site, but we also thoroughly test and improve on existing ones. Manufacturing a wide range of equipment, from commercial refrigeration to large custom-built units for industrial applications. HC provides a wide range of construction materials to suit all operating environments, including all stainless steel coils designed and manufactured in accordance with SANS 347 and ASME B31-5 specifications.

Accountability at HC entails promptness, efficiency, and careful prioritisation, as well as the follow-through required to deliver customised solutions.
HC continues to set the standard for aesthetic appeal, design, and build quality. Our products are digitally modelled, evaluated, and thoroughly tested using cutting-edge design software.
This process allows for the rapid and efficient evaluation of a large number of concepts and designs prior to the production of working prototypes for further evaluation and testing.
